Description
A pure and complex Extra Brut Champagne
The producer
Inheriting a traditional know-how, the Gosset Champagne House has perpetuated its style over the centuries. The Gosset family has been established in Aÿ, a Grand Cru of the Champagne region, since the 16th century. For 16 generations, the Gosset Champagne House has been perpetuating excellence and is now headed by Odilon de Varine, cellar master and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the house. The House’s champagnes are recognisable particularly due to the shape of their bottle, inspired by the historical "antique" bottles used in the 18th century.
The vineyard
The Gosset Champagne house owns plots of land in the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The 140 hectares of vineyards are planted in the crus of Cumières, Courmas, Chamery, Avenay, Vertus, Villers-Marmery, Grauves, Avize Trépail and Cuis.
The wine
Designed for champagne lovers with a fine liveliness, the Gosset Extra Brut Excellence has a very low sugar content (5g/l).
The blend
Excellence Extra Brut de Gosset comprises a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
