The estate

Owned by Bernard Magrez, Château Les Grands Chênes is located in the Médoc, in Saint-Christoly du Médoc, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. The estate's vineyard was built around a fortress dating from the 16th century.

The vineyard

Château Les Grands Chênes 2022 is a Médoc wine from a 46-hectare vineyard in the village of Saint-Christoly Médoc. The vines are 40 years old on average and are planted on Garonne gravel soils.

The vintage

The warm and wet winter gave way to a hot and dry spring and a dry, scorching summer.

Winemaking and ageing

Plot-based harvests. Grapes sorted by hand on a vibrating table. Adapted vinification by the batch. Ageing in barrels and urns.

Merlot (60%)
Cabernet Sauvignon (40%).
