Domaine de Baron'Arques 2010: a powerful wine from Limoux

Domaine de Baron'Arques is a red wine produced in the Limoux appellation. After a cold and rainy winter, the buds began to sprout a week later than usual. Spring was cool and wet, with light snowfall, and no damage done to the vines. Flowering occurred on schedule from June 2-14. The warm, and dry summer were the perfect counterbalance for the rain from earlier in the season. Harvest took place on October 10th. The wine is aged in barrels, 25% in new barrels and 75% with 1-3 wines. Domaine de Baron'Arques 2010 is a blend of 51% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 14% Syrah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec

Domaine de Baron'Arques 2010 has a beautiful garnet huedark and profound. The nose is complex and precise, with aromas of forest fruits. After aeration, the nose develops aromas of black cherries. Domaine de Baron'Arques 2010 is clean, and well-balanced. Flavours of fruitspices and cocoa reveal themselves. The tannins are magnificent and fine. The wine is very powerful and possesses vegetable aromas. The finish is long and gourmet, with notes of liquorice
