Domaine de Baron'Arques 2011: a wine from Limoux with fine and elegant tannins

Domaine de Baron'Arques is a red wine produced in Limoux. The weather conditions for the 2011 vintage were defined by extremely high temperatures. The spring was dry and hot. The start to summer was cool and damp, before it became extremely dry. Harvest took place 13 days before average. The wine is aged in barrels, 25% in new barrels and 75% with 1-3 wines. Domaine Baron'Arques 2011 is a blend of 48% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, 13% Syrah, 10% Malbec and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.

A deep garnet red, Domaine de Baron'Arques 2011 releases aromas of red fruits and roses. Delicate notes of almonds and white tobacco also develop. In the mouth, the wine is silky smooth and flexible. The finish is pleasantly long and reveals subtle notes of spices and woodiness.
