Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 1998 Riesling Rangen de Thann Clos St.-Urbain Selection de Grains Nobles sports 11.5% alcohol and 130 grams of residual sugar. It bursts from the glass with magnificent mineral and lemony caramel aromas. It is medium to full-bodied, admirably focused, and possesses a laser-like, syrupy personality. Its candied, jellied apricot flavors are rendered lively by its stupendous acidity. This incredibly long wine is powerful, highly expressive, and intense. It has the potential to last 25 or more years.
