Description
A refined Barbaresco red wine with a rich aromatic palette
The estate
Located in the Piedmont region, in Northern Italy, Produttori del Barbaresco was founded by the priest of the village of Barbaresco in 1958. In fact, in order to save the small local vineyards and perpetuate their know-how, he decided to merge the land of nineteen small producers together and make one estate. The wines by Produttori del Barbaresco are renowned for their elegance, full-bodied character and broad range of aromas.
The vineyard
Produttori del Barbaresco reigns over a vineyard of 100 hectares. The vines are planted on a tapestry of terroirs with clay soil in the heart of the "pre-alpine" hills at an altitude of between 200 and 400 metres.
The wine
Produttori del Barbaresco's 2018 Barbaresco is made from a selection of vineyards belonging to 54 winegrowers, planted on calcium-rich clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and ageing
Following the harvest, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks. Maceration for 24 days with pumping over two or three times a day. Malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 24 months in large oak barrels.
The blend
Nebbiolo (100%).
