An outstanding Corsican white wine imbued with finesse and freshness
The Estate
Within the Leccia family, the passion for wine is passed down from generation to generation. Yves Leccia, heir to a long line of winemakers, naturally followed this path. In 2005, together with his partner Sandrine, he founded his own estate. Located in northern Corsica, in the heart of the Patrimonio appellation, the vineyard now spans 15 hectares, nestled on the magnificent terroirs of E Croce and Partinelone. Each cuvée, reflecting freshness, minerality, and fruit purity, bears witness to the winemaker’s expertise and passion, inviting you to discover the treasures of the Patrimonio appellation.
The Vineyard
Derived from vines ideally situated on slopes overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, E Croce Blanc benefits from an exceptional terroir, combining schist, clay, and limestone. This natural setting, coupled with a Mediterranean climate, offers ideal conditions for the development of Corsican indigenous grape varieties. Respect for the environment guides every step of the cultivation, with this Patrimonio vineyard managed according to organic farming principles.
Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are carefully hand-harvested before being rigorously sorted. After the harvest, the berries are pressed and the must is clarified at low temperature (8°C) for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (18°C) over 15 to 20 days, followed by six months of aging in tank, thus preserving all the freshness and fruit expression.
Grape Variety
100% Vermentino.
