Description
A fruity and well-balanced white wine from Langhe
The estate
In the 1960s, Bruno and Marcello Ceretto took over the running of the eponymous estate that was founded by their father, Riccardo, in 1930 and located in Alba, Piedmont. Following a trip to Burgundy, the two brothers wanted to swiftly develop the estate and produce "crus" in this exceptional Italian terroir.
A true innovation in a region where the notion of a "cru" was non-existent until then, Bruno and Marcello Ceretto carried out a rigorous selection among the finest vineyards of great Italian red wines, in Barolo and Barbaresco, in order to produce high-quality Langhe wines.
Respect for tradition and the terroir, and a keen eye for innovation are the guiding principles of the family's philosophy. Between 1969 and 1982, four cellars were created and production was extended to include Moscato and a white wine.
Since the 1990s, Bruno and Marcello Ceretto's children have joined the estate and continue to drive forward the goals of this 160-hectare estate, that spreads over 4 cellars and produces 17 different wines.
The vineyard
Ceretto's Blangé 2021 is a Langhe wine that stems from an 80-hectare vineyard, located in the commune of Vezza d'Alba.
