Description

The richness and smooth minerality of a dry white Bordeaux wine

The estate

Located in the north of the Médoc, on the hill of Saint-Estèphe, Château Cos d’Estournel appears majestically. Like a true Maharajah's palace, the château and its pagodas surprise and captivate the eye. In 1791, Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel inherited hectares of vines and established the estate. An adventurer who traveled the world, his taste for exoticism and the Orient earned Château Cos d’Estournel its unique architecture in the Médoc. Owned by Michel Reybier since 2000, Château Cos d’Estournel continues to shine in the Saint-Estèphe appellation and ranks among the world's greatest wines, distinguished by its unique style where the pursuit of beauty and excellence is a constant quest.

The vineyard

A reference among the great wines of Saint-Estèphe, Château Cos d’Estournel enjoys an exceptional geographic location. Its vineyard is situated on the edge of the plateau, in close proximity to the Gironde estuary. The vineyard benefits from a maritime climate while being protected from the elements. The vines are planted on two slopes and a central plateau, enjoying an ideal exposure and good ventilation.

Blend

This dry white Bordeaux wine is the result of a blend of sauvignon blanc (71%) and sémillon (29%).
