Perfumed, with raspberries and floral notes reminiscent of rose petals; delicate on the palate, not heavy, light-footed, perfectly ripe fruit, well-judged tannins that wrap around the fruit core like a silk mantle, complemented by lively acidity; long-lasting, fresh, red-fruited finish. Will be enjoyable early, can age.

Medium ruby in colour. Subtle, restrained nose with red cherry, light spice and a touch of green herbs. Light-bodied and elegant rather than dense, with feathery tannins and bright acidity. Not built for the long haul, but charming and accessible in its youth.

Black raspberries, flowers, assorted peppery spices, and red cherries are a pleasure on the nose. On the palate, the wine is delicate, fresh, and zesty, with a touch of Indian spices and mint that accompanies all the strawberries, raspberries, and red plums, with their racy acidity. The wine blends 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. Drink from 2027-2038. 90-92 pts

So much energy, definition, depth and freshness in the bouquet of Fieuzal. It also shows its ageing through notes of fresh oak. On the palate, the wine stands out for its juicy tannins and invigorating structure. It is mouthwatering and precise, driven by a subtle austerity that heightens the aromatic expression of the finish, which is saline to boot. An exceptional wine in its definition and architecture. A magnificent success that will gain a little more substance (but not too much) during its ageing. Once again, Fieuzal ranks among the great wines of Pessac Léognan!

Medium intensity cherry red, slate and crayon texture, well handled, austere, but structured; you can see the slow build of muscles through the palate, and the deepening black fruit character. Softly spoken compared to many vintages of this excellent wine, but there are layers here, good complexity, and skilful construction.

Fruity and light wine this year. Medium body and medium length. Blend: 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot.
