Description

A savoury Saint-Julien red wine

Château Gloria produces a Cru Bourgeois-classified wine in the Saint-Julien appellation. The total vineyard area in production is 50 hectares with the vines being an average of 40-years-old. The 2004 vintage is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.

At tasting, the Château Gloria 2004 has a dense deep ruby colour. The nose has red fruit, blackcurrant and coffee aromas while the mouthfeel is ample and voluminous. The tannins are savoury and superbly coat the mouth. This smooth wine has a fine, long finish.
