The estate
Acquired by Vignobles Dourthe in 1990, Château La Garde benefits from one of the most beautiful terroirs of Pessac-Léognan in the Bordeaux region.
The vineyard
The Château La Garde vineyard covers 52 hectares in one piece in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The vines are planted in a mosaic of terroirs combining gravel outcroppings and plateaus overlooking the town of Martillac.
Vinification and ageing
Optical sorting. Vinification with minimum handling. Malolactic fermentation partly in barrels. Aged on fine lees in oak barrels, 33% of which are new.

Cabernet Sauvignon (63%)
Merlot (34%)
Petit Verdot (3%).

The tasting
Colour
The intense colour is adorned with subtle ruby hues.
Nose
