Description
1996 Pauillac, 1 Cru Classe, Bordeaux.
The wine from Chateau Latour is made from the best vines of the estate enclosed vineyard. The latter overlooks the Gironde estuary. This 1996 Pauillac is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
The beautiful dark colour of this wine shows real signs of evolution. The nose is fine, complex and evolved. The 1996 Chateau Latour is pleasant and velvety with a frank and fleshy style. The finis is long and complex. This wine was produced during a great vintage and foreshadows a good ageing potential.
