Description

2012 Saint- Estèphe from Bordeaux.

Located on a hillock near the Gironde, Chateau Meyney is located on the centre of its about 50 hectares single-region vineyard. This 2012 vintage is 42% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Petit Verdot.
This wine displays a quite deep red colour with purple glints. The nose gives off blackcurrant and other small dark berry fragrances, as well as a nice, slightly peppery spicy hint, mixed with woody, blended and scrumptious aromas. The palate offers a harmonious and sweet side, elements that indicate a good ageing potential. Rare fact at Chateau Meyney, the Merlot part - the varietal was particularly advantaged that year due to the climatic conditions- in the blend is superior to the Cabernet Sauvignon one.
