This has a friendly feel, with soft-edged plum and blackberry fruit laced with lilac and violet hints, giving way to a light thread of charcoal through the finish. A touch shy on depth, but exhibits nice range and freshness overall. Best from 2017 through 2021. 8,417 cases made.

Dark-coloured, rich, fleshy wine, a true, meaty St-Estèphe.

Spicy oak with black cherry and spice aromatics on the nose; the wine is medium-bodied, with black raspberry and oak on the palate and a slightly polished feel to the tannins. This is the first vintage made with the aid of Hubert de Bouard as the consultant. 88-90 pts

Finely roasted notes, red and dark berries on the nose. Rather full palate, present tannins yet ripe, with good freshness, tobacco and wood notes, a long finish, classic structure, promising.

Deep purple-garnet, dense at the core with a violet rim. Intense, profound bouquet with black pepper notes, licorice, tobacco, hints of tar and ripe blackberries. On the palate, dense, fleshy, concentrated, again with strikingly abundant dark-berry contours, a long-lasting finish. Yet again a masterful achievement and a clear super-terroir statement in this challenging vintage. Can still gain a point. Tasted three times.

Magnificent, open and rich nose with aromas of ripe black fruits, resinous notes, violet and toasted oak; a dense, deep palate with a richly woven texture, generous fruit, good structure and great energy. A massive wine with strong potential that stands out in this vintage.

A beautiful, dense and relatively fleshy wine, with a lovely mid-palate and fine tannins. 55% cabernet sauvignon, 44% merlot, 11% petit verdot.

The bouquet of the 2013 surprises with its intensity and precision. It is fresh, fruity and inviting. The freshness is confirmed on the attack, where the wine is slightly creamy and well balanced. Its tannins are elegant, well-integrated, and provide solid backbone. Fruity, persistent finish. A delicious, convincing wine that can already be enjoyed.

Hubert de Bouard becomes a consultant for this cru. He began by pushing back the harvest date. Dark, intense, beautiful color. Fruity nose, fresh, ripe and pure. Delicate and delicious palate, all pulp, flavorful, with wrapped tannins. Medium length.
