Description

A balanced Pomerol red wine

Produced on a total area of 18 hectares in the Pomerol appellation, Chateau Rouget has the benefit of a rich terroir with clay-gravel soils and vines with an average age of 40. The vines are 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

At tasting, the Chateau Rouget presents a magnificent garnet red colour. The nose exudes expressive and refined scents. On the palate, the wine is elegant with a sublime texture that balances between the velvetiness of Merlot and the minerality of Cabernet Franc, and accompanied by delicate and silky tannins. A beautifully concentrated wine with a lovely balance between freshness and maturity. A wine that can be cellared until 2030.
