The Power and Elegance of a Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru
The Estate
Founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley, Domaine Faiveley is a true institution in Burgundy. Historically rooted in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the estate now spans over 120 hectares across some of the region's most prestigious terroirs. Currently led by the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the estate combines respect for tradition with sustainable practices. On the occasion of its bicentenary in 2025, the entire vineyard also achieved organic certification, confirming the family's commitment to preserving its exceptional winemaking heritage.
The Vineyard
The "Les Saint-Georges" climat is the most emblematic terroir of the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, historically renowned for producing wines of exceptional quality. The vines, averaging 60 years of age, benefit from an ideal southeast-facing exposure. They thrive on clay-limestone soils that give the grapes unique depth and complexity. The entire vineyard is farmed according to the principles of organic agriculture.
The Vintage
The year's weather conditions favoured optimal phenolic ripeness in the berries, allowing the grapes to develop ideally through to harvest.
Winemaking and Aging
After an entirely manual harvest allowing for rigorous selection of the bunches, the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Saint-Georges" 2024 is vinified through natural fermentation. The wine then undergoes traditional aging in oak barrels to develop its structure and aromatic complexity.
Grape Variety
Pinot Noir (100%).
