Remarkably refined, the aromatic bouquet unveils notes of fresh grapefruit and delicate white flowers, enhanced by mineral nuances of flint typical of its terroir.

The palate offers a lively acidity and pronounced minerality. The texture is clean, revealing perfect balance complemented by subtle touches of white pepper. The finish lingers with great freshness and the characteristic smoky signature of the appellation.
Food and wine pairings

The mineral and authentic expression of a great Pouilly-Fumé wine
The estate
Founded in 2021, the Domaine les Ormousseaux is located in Saint-Père, in the Loire Valley wine region. It is managed by Clément Jolivet, from a long line of local winegrowers, and Riandri Visser, an experienced South African oenologist. Together, they bring a modern and environmentally respectful vision to this historic estate. Committed to a sustainable approach, the estate quickly obtained its organic farming certification in 2024. This property stands out for its dedication to producing authentic wines that faithfully reflect the richness of their Loire terroirs.
The vineyard
The grapes for this Pouilly-Fumé come from exceptional plots located in Tracy-sur-Loire, in the lieu-dit La Roche. Spanning former flint quarries, the vines are rooted in siliceous clay soils dating back to the Cretaceous period. This unique terroir, with naturally moderate vigor, yields small, highly concentrated clusters that express the minerality of their environment with purity.
Winemaking and aging
The production of this 2022 vintage begins with gentle pressing of whole bunches, where only the heart of the juice is retained to preserve vibrant freshness. After cold settling, fermentation takes place in various vessels: temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, French oak barrels, and Wineglobes. The wine then undergoes aging on fine lees for one year, giving it depth and complexity.
Grape variety
100% sauvignon blanc.
