2011 Saint-Estephe, Second Wine from Chateau Montrose, Bordeaux.
La Dame de Montrose comes from a second selection and is produced from the same vineyard and with the same care as the Chateau Montrose. The 2011 Second Wine from Chateau Montrose is 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This 2011 Saint-Estephe reveals a beautiful silky cherry red colour with a medium depth. The very expressive and concentrated nose is slightly sweet and woody. A blend of red berry, raspberry and Morello cherry aromas is given off. On the palate, La Dame Montrose offers a strong and distinguished attack that combines suppleness and tight tannins. The latter are less pronounced on finish although they reveal great length.
