The estate

Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, the Louis Jadot House is a true institution in Burgundy. Located in the heart of Beaune, it oversees a vast vineyard extending across approximately 125 to 130 hectares. Owned by the American Kopf family since 1985, the estate is now chaired by Thomas Seiter. Strongly committed to an environmental approach, the property favours a philosophy of minimal intervention in order to let each Climat express its own personality, thus producing wines that remain true to their prestigious appellations.

The vineyard

The Les Bressandes Climat, classified as Beaune Premier Cru, lies on a gently sloping hillside with a south-east exposure. The vines flourish on clay-limestone soils with a slightly sandy texture. Cultivated without any synthetic products for more than twenty years, these plots are managed with the utmost respect for the environment.

Winemaking and aging

True to the House's philosophy, the vinification of this Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes Louis Jadot follows a minimal-intervention approach. The grapes, harvested at full physiological ripeness, are vinified with care to preserve the identity of the terroir. The wine then benefits from extended cellar aging, allowing the tannins to blend harmoniously.
