A Burgundy White Wine Combining Finesse, Balance, and Aromatic Expression

The Estate
The Maison Louis Jadot has been among the great names of Burgundy since its founding in 1859. Its history began with the acquisition of the Clos des Ursules in 1826, an emblematic Beaune premier cru. Known for the quality of its terroirs and its constant commitment to excellence, the estate maintains a traditional approach while incorporating modern expertise. In 2022, Thomas Seiter succeeded Pierre-Henry Gagey as director, supported by Thibault Gagey in general management.

The Vineyard
The "La Garenne" cuvée comes from the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, located between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet. This premier cru benefits from excellent exposure and rests on a medium-textured limestone soil, ensuring great finesse. The "Clos de La Garenne" climate is adjacent to the prestigious "Folatières" and "Referts," areas recognized for the purity and precision of their wines.

Vinification and Aging
The grapes are hand-harvested and then gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, one-third of which are new, crafted by the estate's own cooperage. Aging on fine lees lasts about 15 months, imparting complexity and roundness to the wine.
