Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of Louis Jadot's Rully Village 2024

Tasting

Appearance
The wine reveals a pale, clear yellow hue, enhanced by delicate golden or subtly greenish highlights.

Nose
Elegant and fruit-forward, the nose exudes aromas of white flowers, apple and pear, harmoniously blended with citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit.

Palate
A lively, fresh attack precedes a mid-palate of moderate creaminess. The fine texture unfolds towards an elegant, persistent and refreshing finish, marked by a beautiful minerality reminiscent of chalk.

Food and wine pairings

This white wine pairs wonderfully with pan-fried or grilled fish, seafood, as well as white meats in creamy mushroom sauces. It also goes very well with cooked pressed cheeses such as Comté or Beaufort, or with an asparagus risotto.

Serving and cellaring

Accessible from a young age, this Rully Village 2024 can rest in the cellar to be enjoyed until around 2031.

The elegance and freshness of a white Rully by Louis Jadot

The estate

Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, the Louis Jadot House is a leading institution in Burgundy, with its historic headquarters located in Beaune. While its family roots date back to 1826 with the Domaine des Héritiers, the estate now enjoys international recognition thanks to the consistency of its quality and its famous label adorned with the head of Bacchus. Currently led by its president Thomas Seiter, the House stands out for its philosophy of minimal intervention and a strong environmental commitment, illustrated by the abandonment of synthetic inputs and a High Environmental Value certification.

The vineyard

Located south of the Côte de Beaune, in the Côte Chalonnaise, the Rully appellation area rests on predominantly limestone and marl-limestone soils. This singular terroir, benefiting from a moderate continental climate and varied exposures, allows the grapes to reach optimal ripeness while retaining a beautiful structuring acidity. The vines are cultivated with respect for the soils, in line with the House's overall environmental approach.

Winemaking and aging

True to the House's philosophy, the crafting of the Rully Village 2024 favours minimal intervention in order to allow the terroir to fully express itself. Fermentation temperatures are rigorously controlled to preserve the purity of the fruit and the aromatic freshness. Ageing in oak barrels is carried out with a limited proportion of new wood, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and a slight roundness without masking its original identity.

Grape variety

Chardonnay (100%).
