Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Saint-Véran Village 2024 from Louis Jadot

Tasting

Appearance
The wine reveals a bright pale yellow hue, reminiscent of light straw.

Nose
The aromatic bouquet expresses delicate notes of flowers and white fruits, subtly complemented by a light touch of hazelnut.

Palate
Dry and refreshing, this wine offers a palate marked by youth and delicacy. The whole reveals a pleasant roundness, carried by subtle nuances of dried fruits.

Food and wine pairings

Ideal as an aperitif, this white wine also pairs wonderfully with cold starters such as a shellfish carpaccio or a fish terrine. It enhances grilled or steamed fish served with a beurre blanc sauce, poultry garnished with almonds, as well as young cheeses such as Brie or fresh goat's cheese.

Serving and cellaring

To fully appreciate the Saint-Véran Village 2024, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 10 and 12 °C in medium-sized glasses.

The authentic expression of a white wine from the Mâconnais

The estate

Founded in 1859 in Beaune by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, the Louis Jadot House has established itself as a key player in Burgundy. Both a négociant house and the owner of a vast vineyard stretching from the Côte d'Or to the Beaujolais, it now enjoys international renown. Currently chaired by Thomas Seiter, who succeeds the historic figure Pierre-Henry Gagey, the estate stands out for its strong environmental commitment, formalised in its "Green Book". Louis Jadot strives to produce wines that faithfully reflect the diversity and richness of Burgundian terroirs.

The vineyard

Located in the southern part of Burgundy, in the sub-region of the Mâconnais, the Saint-Véran vineyard lies on gentle slopes. The vines flourish on Jurassic clay-limestone soils. This specific terroir provides ideal conditions for the development of the grape variety, promoting sustainable viticulture that respects biodiversity, in line with the house's ecological principles aimed at limiting synthetic inputs.

Winemaking and aging

The making of the Saint-Véran Village 2024 follows a classic Burgundian approach and a rigorous environmental process. The vinification aims to preserve the freshness, natural acidity and aromatic purity of the fruit, while bringing a slight roundness characteristic of the house's style.
