Louis Latour : Bâtard-Montrachet Grand cru 2017

The 2017 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is performing well from bottle, bursting with aromas of orange oil, honeyed pears and toasted nuts. Full-bodied, rich and muscular while remaining lively and succulent, it's already drinking well.

A very impressive nose with plenty of lemon and grapefruit on offer, as well as hazelnutty oak influence and some stony nuances. Very rich and quite exotic fruit on the palate, in the peach, nectarine and mango spectrum. Well-cast oak warms and spices up the finish. Complex and generous Bâtard. Drink or hold.

Perfect integration of oak (rare these days), true grand style with no reduction or greenness, plenty of potential. It would be a crime to drink it too early!
