Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with great purity, blending notes of white flowers and yellow-fleshed fruits such as peach. A delicate mineral thread underlines the whole with elegance.
Palate
The attack is full and generous. The palate seduces with its perfect balance between a smooth texture and a refreshing mineral tension, leading to a persistent, saline finish.
Food and wine pairing
This white wine will pair ideally with fish in sauce, poultry in cream sauce, or aged cheeses.
Service and storage
For optimal tasting, this wine is best served between 10 and 12°C. It can be enjoyed now or cellared until 2028.
The pure and mineral expression of a great white wine from the Rhône
The estate
Established since 1808, Maison M. Chapoutier ranks among the great names of French winemaking. Under the guidance of Michel Chapoutier, the estate made the pioneering choice to convert its vineyards to biodynamic farming as early as the 1990s. This demanding approach reveals the quintessence of each terroir in the Rhône Valley through cuvées of remarkable precision.
The vineyard
The "Les Granilites" white cuvée comes from vines located in the Saint-Joseph appellation. The terroir consists of very poor granitic soils, which give the wine its characteristic tension and minerality. The vineyard is cultivated with the greatest care, respecting natural balances.
The vintage
The year 2018 offered favorable climatic conditions, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness while retaining a beautiful freshness, essential for the great white wines of the region.
Winemaking and aging
After hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed. Winemaking is carried out with precision to preserve the purity of the fruit. Aging takes place partly in tanks and partly in barrels, adding complexity and roundness to the wine without masking its mineral identity.
Grape variety
Marsanne (100%).
