A rich and precise white wine from Veneto

The estate
Launched in 2024, the Peaks & Valleys project, created by Marilisa Allegrini and Andrea Lonardi, pays tribute to Verona and its varied wine regions: Valpolicella, Soave and Lugana. This initiative aims not only to showcase the wines but also the unique territories that shape them. From the steep hills of Valpolicella to the volcanic soils of Soave and the glacial morainic hills of Lugana, each region contributes to the specificity of the wines produced. The vineyards are selected according to rigorous criteria such as soil composition, climate, exposure, altitude and indigenous grape varieties. Each wine authentically expresses its origin while adhering to contemporary standards of excellence.

The vineyard
The Selva del Vescovo vineyard spans the morainic soils of Desenzano del Garda in Lombardy at 124 meters above sea level. Facing south, the vines, averaging eight years of age within the Lugana appellation, benefit from soils formed by glacial retreat, imparting the wine with its characteristic minerality.

Winemaking and aging
Manual harvest in crates takes place from late September to early October. Selva del Vescovo 2024 is vinified by whole-cluster pressing followed by static racking. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature between 15 and 18 °C for two weeks, without malolactic fermentation. Aging continues for six months in concrete vats and then two months in bottle.

Grape variety
100% Turbiana, the emblematic indigenous grape variety of the Lugana appellation.
