The Brilliance and Mineral Richness of a White Burgundy
The Estate
Founded in October 1984 by Olivier Leflaive, the eponymous house carries on a family legacy that began in 1717. Located in Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy, the estate is built on a vineyard spanning one hundred hectares, twenty-six of which are owned outright. A pioneer of wine tourism and committed to biodynamic practices for nearly twenty years, the house stands out for its exacting approach to winemaking and trading. Since 2020, Julie Leflaive has led the company, upholding the excellence of its white wines while bringing a modern vision to this institution.
The Vineyard
This wine comes from a rigorous selection of plots located in Meursault, the largest white wine-producing commune in the Côte de Beaune. The estate tends its vines according to sustainable viticulture practices and biodynamic principles, reflecting a deep respect for the land. This approach, certified High Environmental Value level 3, helps enhance biodiversity and highlight the identity of this terroir.
The Vintage
Despite several weather-related challenges throughout the year, the climatic conditions of this vintage proved particularly favorable. They allowed for the harvest of high-quality grapes, giving rise to juices distinguished by their freshness and brilliance.
Winemaking and Aging
The making of the Meursault Village 2024 draws on the house's time-honored traditional techniques. It is the result of a harmonious blend of different lots, carefully vinified and aged to preserve the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of its appellation.
