A Dry White Bordeaux of great aromatic precision
The estate
Founded in 1811 by Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel, Château Cos d'Estournel is an emblematic property of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, in the Bordeaux region. Recognisable by its oriental architecture adorned with pagodas, the estate covers a 100-hectare vineyard. Since 2000, Michel Reybier has been the current owner of this prestigious Second Growth. He carries on the founder's quest for excellence, making this name a true mark of prestige, particularly thanks to cutting-edge facilities such as the 100% gravity-fed cellar created in 2008.
The vineyard
Located in the north of the Médoc, the terroir dedicated to these Dry White Bordeaux wines overlooks the Gironde estuary. The vines, the oldest of which are 39 years old, thrive on clay-limestone soils benefiting from a cool climate and natural oceanic ventilation. The estate practises sustainable farming, mechanical soil work and rigorous plot-by-plot management. Some plots were even top-grafted in 2020 to optimise the white grape varieties.
The vintage
The year 2025 enjoyed ideal climatic conditions. Abundant rainfall at Easter effectively replenished the soil's water reserves. At the end of August, another rainy spell put an end to the summer heatwaves. These optimal conditions favoured an early harvest beginning on 3 September, guaranteeing grapes of exceptional intensity without any risk of overripeness.
Grape varieties
This wine is made from a blend of 67% Sémillon and 33% Sauvignon Blanc.
