A delicate and precise Saint-Joseph from the Rhône Valley, crafted by Paul Jaboulet-Aîné
The estate
The Paul Jaboulet-Aîné house, founded in 1834 in Tain-l'Hermitage, is one of the great négociant houses of the Rhône Valley. It has belonged to the Frey family since 2006. The Grand Pompée from Paul Jaboulet-Aîné is among the emblematic cuvées of this historic négociant house, and its name refers to a local legend according to which the Roman emperor Pompey, while travelling through the region, is said to have enjoyed the wines of the area.
The vineyard
This wine comes from the Saint-Joseph appellation, on the right bank of the Rhône.
Grape variety
This Saint-Joseph is made from 100% Syrah.
