The estate

Founded in 2017 in Meursault, Domaine Pierre Girardin embodies the new generation of Burgundy. At the head of the property, Pierre-Vincent Girardin, the thirteenth generation of winegrowers in his family, became independent at just 21 years old. Drawing on a core of 4.5 hectares of elite vines preserved by his father Vincent, the current owner combines a centuries-old heritage with an ultra-modern vision. The estate stands out for its organic viticulture, its precise ageing processes and its determination to offer the purest expression of Burgundian terroirs.

The vineyard

The vines of Chassagne-Montrachet flourish on the clay-limestone soils typical of the appellation, ensuring efficient drainage. The estate has applied the principles of organic farming since 2018, using natural elements such as copper and sulphur to protect the vineyard. The harvest is carried out by hand in order to preserve the integrity and optimal quality of the grapes.

The vintage

The 2024 vintage is characterised by low yields on certain plots, resulting in an increased concentration of the berries while maintaining a perfectly controlled balance.

Winemaking and ageing

To craft this Chassagne-Montrachet Village 2024, the estate favours minimal intervention in the cellar. The vinifications are carried out with delicacy to allow the terroir to fully express itself. The ageing is meticulously adapted in order to preserve the fruit and not mask its aromatic purity. True to his philosophy, the winemaker chooses not to fine or filter his wines.
