The estate

Owned by the Bernard family since 1983, the beautiful Domaine de Chevalier is among the very finest Classified Growths in Bordeaux. The estate, located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation to the south of Bordeaux, is surrounded by a green haven.

The vineyard

Domaine de Chevalier watches over a rare vineyard which comprises 67 hectares of vines. A true patchwork of terroirs, the Domaine de Chevalier vineyard is planted on fine gravel soils and rests on an well-drained clay and gravel subsoil.

The wine

For the past 25 years, Domaine de Chevalier has been producing a small quantity of Rosé de Chevalier, presented in an attractive, top-of-the-range bottle whose original label reflects the modernity and nobility of this wine.

Vinification and ageing

Domaine de Chevalier's Rosé de Chevalier 2020 is made using the "bleeding" method. Once the grapes have been picked, the unmacerated juice (mainly stemming from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes) is pressed directly and fermented separately.

This choice of vinification favours the production of a rosé with a bright colour and intense fruity aromas. This fresh rosé showcases its delicacy throughout the tasting experience.

The blend

Domaine de Chevalier's Rosé de Chevalier 2020 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Merlot (15%).

Bright, with a beautiful pink ochre colour.

Nose

Subtle and delicate, the nose presents refined notes of rose perfume, small red fruits (raspberry) but also exotic notes reminding us of lychee.

Palate

Suave and beautifully fresh, the palate seduces with its intense fruity notes, its precision and its pure finish.
