An exceptional Mexican añejo tequila, perfect alliance between sweetness and character
Casamigos, an iconic tequila
Founded in 2013 by actor George Clooney, businessman Rande Gerber and real estate developer Mike Meldman, Casamigos has become an emblematic brand of Mexico, originating from the Jalisco region. Born from a shared passion for excellent tequila, it was initially intended for their personal consumption before experiencing a resounding commercial success. In 2017, Diageo acquired the brand, confirming its iconic status. Made exclusively from Weber blue agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Casamigos stands out for its artisanal and meticulous manufacturing process, offering exceptional smoothness that allows it to be savored pure, without accompaniment.
An exceptional añejo, fruit of artisanal know-how
The Tequila Añejo Casamigos embodies the excellence of Mexican craftsmanship. Made from 100% carefully selected Weber blue agave and harvested at optimal maturity (after 7 to 9 years of growth), this tequila benefits from a meticulous manufacturing process that distinguishes it from industrial productions. The agave piñas are slowly cooked for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens, compared to only 7 hours for standard industrial methods.
Fermentation takes place over 80 hours, almost double the usual time in the industry, with an exclusive yeast developed specifically for Casamigos. This exceptional patience allows to extract all the aromatic richness of the agave.
The aging of 14 months in carefully selected American oak barrels gives this añejo its characteristic complexity and balanced profile. Each production step is supervised by the master distiller to ensure consistent and impeccable quality, true to the vision of the founders who sought a tequila of rare quality.
