The estate
Located in Mendoza, the Zuccardi estate is recognized as one of the estates producing outstanding wines in Argentina. Sebastián Zuccardi is the third generation of winemakers on this family estate whose history begins in 1963 when his grandfather planted the first hectares of vines in Maipú. Since January 2000, Sebastián Zuccardi has been at the head of a vineyard of more than 200 hectares at the foot of the Andes, whose wines reflect the richness of the terroirs of the Uco Valley.

Born into a visionary family with a resolutely forward-looking approach, Sebastián Zuccardi established in 2008 a research and development unit dedicated to optimizing vineyard practices and inaugurated in 2016 a cellar housing uniquely shaped tanks and amphorae, the result of many years of research to work the juices as naturally as possible while limiting human intervention, in order to preserve the characteristics of each vineyard and enhance their expression during vinification.

Recognized as one of the best winemakers in South America, Sebastián Zuccardi produces wines adored by connoisseurs and praised by critics.

Voted best vineyard in South America in 2019 and 2020, the Zuccardi family estate was also voted best vineyard in the World in 2020.

The vineyard
The grapes used for the production of this Mendoza wine come from a rigorous selection of plots within Paraje Altamira, a viticultural terroir in the Uco Valley with soil composed mainly of sand and limestone.

Winemaking and ageing
Sorted and hand-harvested, the grapes are handled by gravity in the tanks. The fermentation of this Uco Valley wine is carried out in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts followed by ageing in barrels and the remainder in concrete tanks.
