The estate
Located in Mendoza, the Zuccardi estate is recognized as one of the leading producers of truly great wines in Argentina. Sebastián Zuccardi represents the third generation of winemakers on this family estate, whose story began in 1963 when his grandfather planted the first hectares of vines in Maipú. Since January 2000, Sebastián Zuccardi has been at the helm of a vineyard spanning more than 200 hectares at the foot of the Andes, whose wines reflect the richness of the Uco Valley’s terroirs.

Born into a visionary family with an unwavering focus on the future, Sebastián Zuccardi has, since 2008, established a research and development unit dedicated to optimizing vineyard practices, and in 2016 inaugurated a winery housing tanks and amphorae with unique shapes— the result of many years of research— in order to work the juices as naturally as possible while limiting human intervention, so as to preserve the characteristics of each vineyard and enhance their expression throughout vinification.

Recognized as one of South America’s finest winemakers, Sebastián Zuccardi produces wines adored by connoisseurs and praised by critics.

Voted South America’s best vineyard in 2019 and 2020, the Zuccardi family estate was named the World’s best vineyard in 2020.

The vineyard

The 2015 vintage in Mendoza was marked by a warm winter and significant rainfall during the summer season.

Vinification and aging
Fermentation is carried out in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in barrels (30% of the wine), with the remainder in concrete tanks.
