Description
An Haut-Médoc red wine with a seductive aromatic expression and freshness
The estate
Château Belle-Vue is a reference among fine Haut-Médoc wines, an appellation situated near Margaux on the left bank of Bordeaux.
The vineyard
Bearing a High Environmental Value certificate, Château Belle-Vue’s almost 15-hectare vineyard is planted on gravel soils, a typical feature of the Haut-Médoc appellation. The thirty-six-year old vines are cultivated according to sustainable viticultural practices.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted manually on a table after destemming. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for more than 3 weeks. Gravity-fed racking. Maceration for an average of 35 days after fermentation. Aged for 14 to 16 months in barrels (30% new, 30% first-fill 20% second-fill) and in vats (20%).
