Description
Elegant and complex, a fine Saint-Emilion wine
The estate
Château Corbin testifies to a treasured and rich winegrowing heritage and has been telling the story of its vines and its men since its foundation. Although the château was built in the 18th century, legend has it that the estate's grounds belonged to the famous black prince who fought against the French at the dawn of the Hundred Years' War. Today, the estate has belonged to the same family for nearly a hundred years. Age-old passion is passed on from one generation to another. Thus, Anabelle Cruse, supported by her husband Sébastien Bardinet, nurtures the estate with her work and determination, giving it its excellent reputation.
The vineyard
Château Corbin 2021 is a Saint-Emilion wine that stems from a 12.31-hectare vineyard. The vines are 33 years old on average and are planted on clay and sandy-clay soils upon an iron-clay subsoil.
Vinification and ageing
Hand-picked in small crates. Densimetric sorting. Vinification by plot in small concrete vats, with pumping over. Vatting for 19 to 26 days.
The blend
Château Corbin 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
