The elegance of a great white wine from Domaine A.F. Gros

The estate
Founded in 1988 by Anne-Françoise Gros and François Parent, Domaine A.F. Gros is a key reference in Burgundy. This family-run estate cultivates fourteen hectares of vines spread across the prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Today, the property is run by the second generation: Caroline Parent oversees commercial development, while Mathias Parent supervises all viticultural and winemaking operations. The estate stands out for its commitment to sustainable practices and its skilful balance between respect for tradition and an innovative approach.

The vineyard
This Bourgogne wine comes from the "Concoeur" plot, planted in the late 1990s at an altitude of around 400 metres. This distinctive terroir is characterised by soil rich in fossiliferous lava and marine fossils, offering excellent natural drainage. The vineyard is managed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture, with mechanical soil work and inter-row grass cover to preserve biodiversity. The grapes are hand-harvested to select only the finest bunches.

The vintage
2024 was marked by extreme climatic challenges throughout the growing season. These particularly difficult weather conditions led to a drastic drop in yields, reducing the harvest by around 70% compared to a typical year, while further heightening the rarity of this cuvée.

Winemaking and ageing
After a meticulous selection of berries, both in the vineyard and at the winery, this wine undergoes traditional ageing. This takes place over a period of 14 months in French oak barrels, with 20% new oak, bringing beautiful complexity without masking the expression of the terroir.

Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
