The structure and balance of a Saint-Joseph wine
The estate
Domaine du Tunnel, established by Stéphane Robert in the Rhône Valley, today cultivates vines on the right bank of the Rhône in Ardèche. Stéphane and Sandrine Robert manage this estate, which stands out for its unique cellar, housed in a former railway tunnel since 2014. This original facility reflects the precise and contemporary approach of the estate, recognized for its consistency and territorial roots.
The vineyard
This Saint-Joseph wine is made from vines aged 40 years on average, located in the communes of Tournon sur Rhône, Mauves and Glun.
Winemaking and aging
The vinification of this Saint-Joseph 2023 takes place in stainless steel vats for 3 weeks. The wine then benefits from aging in barrels for 14 months, allowing its structure to be refined and its aromatic complexity developed while preserving the freshness of the fruit.
Grape variety
This Rhône Valley wine is 100% Syrah.
