Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Wines : Key Points

For more than a century, the estate has produced rare wines, influenced by their terroir and climate. Natural challenges - the soil, the Mistral wind, the cold and hot temperatures - contribute to the creation of unique wines. The ancient subsoil, coming from melting Alpine glaciers, rests underneath rounded pebbles, giving the wine a wonderful minerality.

Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe is located on La Crau plateau, south-east of Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The 70-hectare vineyard yield split includes 65 hectares for red wines and 5 hectares for whites. The estate produces just four wines: Le Vieux Telegraphe (red and white) from the oldest vineyards and more complex blends and Le Télégramme reds and whites representing the second wines in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The new generation of the Brunier family is at the head of the estate. Cousins Nicolas and Edouard were brought into the estate in 2015 and 2016, with Manon in 2018. The family philosophy remains the same – to keep the savoir-faire of former generations going, while respecting the terroir and continuing to develop fine, balanced and fresh wines.
