Colour
The wine displays a deep, dark pink hue.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with notes of fresh red fruit such as strawberry and redcurrant, enhanced by floral touches of hibiscus and a hint of citrus.
Palate
The palate is both fleshy and complex, perfectly balanced by a fine tension. The finish is long, fresh and remarkably rich.
Food and wine pairings
This gastronomic wine is an ideal partner for charcuterie, red meat or barbecued dishes. It also pairs beautifully with prepared fish, such as trout gravlax with mild spices, as well as Mediterranean cuisine.
Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate this 2024 vintage, serve between 11 and 13°C. With excellent ageing potential, this wine can be enjoyed now or cellared until around 2029.
The expression of a great gastronomic rosé from Languedoc
The estate
The story of Domaine Peyre Rose truly began as an independent wine project in 1988, driven by its founder and current owner, Marlène Soria. Located in France, in the hills above Saint-Pargoire in Languedoc, this unique estate covers around 24 hectares in the heart of the garrigue. Renowned for her uncompromising approach, the winemaker has raised the estate to the status of a true regional legend. Meticulous work, low yields and long ageing shape the identity of these exceptional wines.
The vineyard
Classified as Vin de France, this secluded terroir enjoys an unspoilt setting amid the garrigue of the Hérault. The vines thrive on very stony clay-limestone soils, which encourage deep rooting. The estate is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, ensuring naturally low yields and optimal berry concentration.
Winemaking and ageing
This rosé is crafted through spontaneous fermentation triggered by indigenous yeasts. To preserve the purity of the fruit and the freshness of the terroir, the wine is aged exclusively in vats, with no contact with oak.
Grape variety
Syrah.
