Nose
The nose expresses great aromatic purity, blending notes of cherry and red and black fruits with subtle hints of spice and liquorice.

Palate

Food and Wine Pairings

This French red wine pairs wonderfully with slow-cooked meats such as beef bourguignon, roasted poultry, vegetable stews or a platter of well-aged cheeses.

Serving and Ageing

For an optimal tasting experience, it is recommended to serve this Gevrey-Chambertin Village 2025 at a temperature between 16 and 18°C. With its fine structure, it has good ageing potential and will evolve favourably in the cellar for several years.

The Authentic Expression of a Great Gevrey-Chambertin Terroir

The Estate

Located at the heart of Burgundy, the Frédéric Esmonin estate is a discreet yet highly regarded family business. Its history under its current name began in 1988, when Frédéric Esmonin, the current owner, took over the family vines before formally acquiring them in 2003. Spanning approximately 4.5 hectares, the estate does not purchase any grapes, thereby guaranteeing complete control over its production. Strongly focused on export markets, Frédéric Esmonin crafts authentic wines that win over connoisseurs with their remarkable value for money and their pure expression of terroir.

The Vineyard

The grapes come exclusively from plots owned by the estate, located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. This terroir in the Côte de Nuits is characterised by limestone and marl soils with favourable exposures. These natural conditions, combined with a continental climate, allow the vines to produce concentrated berries, giving the wines a fine minerality along with a characteristic freshness.

Winemaking and Ageing

Crafted in keeping with Burgundian tradition, this Gevrey-Chambertin Village 2025 undergoes classic vat fermentation. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for approximately twelve months. The use of oak remains measured for this cuvée, in order to preserve the brightness of the fruit and the finesse of the texture.

Grape Variety

100% Pinot Noir.
