Description
Characteristics and tasting notes of the "St. Agnès" 2024 cuvée from Domaine Héritage du Pic Saint-Loup
Tasting notes
Colour
A deep ruby hue with violet highlights, reflecting the fine concentration of this vintage.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with intense notes of dark fruit such as blackberry and blackcurrant. With aeration, subtle touches of garrigue, black pepper and liquorice come through to enrich this olfactory palette, typical of its appellation.
Palate
The attack is full and generous, revealing silky, well-integrated tannins. The mid-palate confirms the fruity and spicy aromas perceived on the nose, supported by a lovely freshness that carries the wine towards a persistent, elegant finish.
Food and wine pairing
This red wine will pair beautifully with a fine grilled beef dish, a rack of lamb roasted with herbes de Provence, or well-aged cheeses.
Service and storage
For optimal enjoyment, this wine is best served between 16 and 18°C. Ready to drink now in its youth, it also has the potential to age favourably in the cellar for several years.
The elegance and character of a great red wine from the Languedoc
The estate
Located in the heart of the Languedoc, Domaine Héritage du Pic Saint-Loup stands out as a key reference of its appellation. Driven by a passion passed down from generation to generation, the family watches over an exceptional terroir. The estate places great importance on cultivating its vines with the utmost respect for the environment, encouraging biodiversity and the authentic expression of its soils.
The vineyard
The vines that give rise to the "St. Agnès" cuvée flourish on clay-limestone terroirs. Benefiting from the area's distinctive climatic influence, with sunny days and cool nights, the grapes reach optimal ripeness while retaining a lovely natural acidity.
Grape variety
Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre make up the blend of this wine, offering a perfect synergy of power, fruit and complexity.
