James Suckling

Jim Gordon

A big, broad and generous wine that’s well-structured, with moderate acidity, a full body and good underlying acidity. It’s handsome, mouth-filling and deep, begging for further aging before drinking, but so tempting now. Made with 50% whole clusters, a portion of which were fermented in large oak barrels. Impressively rich on the palate and long on the finish. Best from 2029.

Le Figaro Vin

An aristocratic, lofty, high-toned bouquet of blue-black fruit that then evolves toward notes of prune and tar. Suave and elegant on the palate, with lovely fluidity, it delivers fine yet powerful flavors, both sweet and bitter, and a delightfully intense acidity. Highly complex, it is in constant evolution, finishing on a sappy, vibrant note.
