L'Oratoire des Papes : Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022

Here’s proof that not all the 2022 Chateauneufs are lush and fleshy. This is full-bodied and mouth-filling, but the overall impression is of harmonious dryness in spite of all the ripe sour cherry fruit. Bold but harmonious finish. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape displays supple strawberry jam, ripe raspberry, orange blossom and licorice. Medium- to full-bodied and inviting, the polished 2022 offers plenty of bang for the buck and culminates in a juicy finish.

Medium-bodied, fresh, fruity, and polished, there is a cool touch of mint and a hint of cocoa that adds to the sweet red berries on the mid-palate and in the finish. The wine is a blend of 80% Grenache with Syrah and Cinsault. Drink from 2025-2032.
