The Freshness and Minerality of an Exceptional Beaune
A true gem of the Côte de Beaune, the Beaune Village White « Montagne Saint Désiré » 2016 by Remoissenet Père & Fils expresses the natural character of this exceptional terroir.
The wine is produced from a vineyard at 400m on the Montagne Saint Désiré, located southwest of Beaune in Burgundy, on a terroir best known for white wine production. This is an exceptional vineyard of 0.4 hectares, situated above the famous 1er Cru Clos des Mouches.
A cuvée produced in extremely limited quantities (only 1,800 bottles), the Beaune Village Blanc "Montagne Saint Désiré" 2016 was bottled in February of 2018 after 16 months of maturation in oak barrels.
Vinified under the care of the talented oenologist Claudie Jobard, the Beaune Village Blanc "Montagne Saint Désiré" 2016 seduces with its expressive aromatic bouquet, marked with fresh citrus notes. The freshness and minerality of the Montagne Saint Désiré terroir are expressed beautifully here, suggesting a beautiful evolution over time.
