The elegance of a French whisky exuding a rare single-plot expression
An exceptional Alpine whisky
Founded in 2009 by Frédéric Revol, an agronomist, and Jérémy Bricka, an oenologist, Domaine des Hautes Glaces is located in Cornillon-en-Trièves, at an altitude of 900 meters on the highest cereal-growing plain in Europe. The distillery controls the entire process, from grain to bottle. Organic no-till farming, ancient varieties of barley, rye, and spelt, local spring water, and aging in Cognac or Vin Jaune casks confer a unique territorial identity to these whiskies, embodying a true Alpine terroir.
An exceptional spirit from the Hautes Glaces terroir
Maximus, whose Latin name means "great," represents an exceptional single-plot expression from Domaine des Hautes Glaces. This single malt French whisky was aged in Crozes-Hermitage barrels, conferring a singular identity to this spirit. Produced from barley from the Andrieu climate, Maximus 2012 was bottled at cask strength after progressive topping up in the barrel. This exclusive cuvée is a collector's item for lovers of exceptional French whiskies. Produced according to organic farming principles, this whisky perfectly embodies the estate's philosophy: an authentic spirit, anchored in its Alpine terroir.
