The Complexity and Expression of an Exceptional Douro Porto Aged Over 80 Years
Taylor's: Three Centuries of Excellence in the Douro
Founded in 1692, Taylor's remains one of the most prestigious Porto houses in the Duriense region. Owner of the renowned Quinta de Vargellas, classified A, the house is today part of the Fladgate Partnership family. Taylor's stands out for its innovations and exceptional cuvées, crafted from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, revealing complex aromas of dried fruits, spices and cedarwood, reflecting expertise passed down for over three centuries.
The Very Very Old Port: A Rare Blend of Pre-War Lots
The Taylor's Very Very Old Port represents an exceptional blend of rare lots matured in oak casks, some of which date back to before the Second World War.
This limited cuvée bears witness to the ancestral expertise of Taylor's coopers and cellarmasters, who have preserved these portos of outstanding quality through the decades. Prolonged aging in oak casks imparts a sublime complexity to this Porto, the result of the patient interaction between wine and wood over generations. Each bottle stands as a living testament to the viticultural history of the Douro and the excellence of the house of Taylor's.
