A very well-balanced Ribera del Duero that shows spiced plums, strawberries, cherries and touches of white pepper and chocolate. Juicy and pretty crunchy on the palate, with a medium to full body and fine-grained tannins. A juicy, layered finish persists in a subtle manner, Already quite approachable, but it should hold well for the next few years.

The 2019 Pago del Cielo is a 100% Tempranillo sourced from old estate vines in Las Tenadas and El Obispo in La Horra and Piñel, Ribera del Duero, and was aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels. Purple in hue. The fruit-forward nose offers cherry, plum and violet aromas over a subtle cigar box layer. The palate is dry and fairly creamy, with a chalky texture and mild tannins. This is a flavorful, alluring red from Ribera.
