Product of what was a very qualitative vintage for the Sauternes appellation, Château de Rayne Vigneau 2017 is destined for a great future.
A First Classified Growth of Sauternes blessed with a splendid terroir, Château de Rayne Vigneau is one of the most beautiful references in the Sauternes appellation, just 30 km south of Bordeaux. The vineyard is located on a magnificent ridge of sandy gravel, built up on a base of clay.
Great wines are born in great terroirs, and the Château de Rayne Vigneau 2017 does not fail to confirm this.
With its purity of fruit and the exuberance of its aromas, the Château de Rayne Vigneau 2017 reveals the characteristics of each variety entering the blend in precise proportions. Sauvignon Blanc (28% of the blend) reveals itself through intense lychee notes, while opulent Sémillon (72% of the blend) delights the nose with notes of exotic fruit (pineapple, passion fruit), along with the aromatic touch of Muscadelle. Tension, vivacity, acidity, concentration, generousness and long length on the palate leave an impression of a great Sauternes, already very expressive and promising a beautiful evolution with age.
