The estate
Both driven by the vision of vines as a living entity, Hélène Garcin and Patrick Levêque also share a life project: caring for exceptional terroirs attentively and meticulously, but above all passionately. Evidently, it was with this in mind that they set foot on the grounds of Château Poesia.
The vineyard
Château Poesia 2021 is a Saint-Emilion wine that stems from a 8,865-hectare terroir, poised on the heights of Saint-Emilion. There, the clay and limestone plateau on which the vines are rooted benefits from an ideal wind exposure which gives the Merlot a superb aromatic complexity. The climate is oceanic, ensuring a good supply of water to the vines.
Vinification and ageing
Following manual harvesting, the grapes are vinified in steel and concrete vats. Aged for 18 to 24 months in French oak barrels.
